Actress Patty Duke Dead at Age 69

Patty Duke 1975.JPG  Patty Duke won an Academy Award for “The Miracle Worker”  (1962)  and a Golden Globe for “Me, Natalie” (1969.) Television work includes three Emmy awards for “My Sweet Charlie” (1970), “Captains and the Kings” (1976) and a remake of “The Miracle Worker” (1979.)  She was also well known for her television comedy show “The Patty Duke Show” (1963-1966.)  Former president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Cause of death:  Septic shock.
