God vs. Satan

LUKE 4, VERSES 1 – 13.

  1.  And Jesus being filled with the Holy Ghost returned from Jordon and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
  2. being forty days tempted by the devil.  And in those days he ate nothing:  and when they were ended, he hungered afterward.
  3. And the devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone that it be made into bread.”
  4. And Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”
  5. And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, showed before him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
  6. And the devil said to him, “All of this power I will give you, and their glory, for it has been given to me; and to whomsoever I will, I will give it.
  7. If you will worship me, all shall be yours.”
  8. And Jesus answered, “Get behind me, Satan:  for it is written, you shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.”
  9. And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here:
  10. for it is written, He shall give you angels in his charge, to protect you, to keep you:
  11. and in their hands, they shall carry you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.”
  12. And Jesus answering said to him, “It is said, you shall not tempt the Lord your God.”
  13. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

As in Genesis, the devil tries to cast doubt in the same way he did to Eve.

GENESIS 3, Verses 1-5

1Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

By not eating, Jesus is in the Spirit.  Satan attempts to break this divinity.  He questions Jesus authority by saying “If you are the son of God…”

Verses 5-7.  If any part of the Bible illustrates where Earthly powers reside – this is it.  Jesus is promised all the kingdoms of the world, if he will worship Satan.  How many people throughout time immortal, have reached fame, success and power by, inadvertently or not, selling out to the devil?

Verses 9-11.  Satan attempts to destroy Jesus by telling him to jump off the temple.  How many times have we prayed for a miracle?  It is not up to us.  God already knows our needs.  Miracles happen every day, but not on our command.

What Happened to Bill O’Reilly?

Bill O'Reilly at the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia (cropped).jpgThe O'Reilly Factor - title sequence image.png

From 1996 to 2017, “The O’Reilly Factor” dominated Fox News, right up to its cancellation date on 4-19-2017.  You can blame Bill O’Reilly’s removal on the early “MeToo-Time’s Up” purge, but I have my own belief.

In 2013, O’Reilly wrote “Killing Jesus”, another of his killing series books.  This is a book he should never have written.  Mr. O starts off by writing that Jesus’ father is Joseph, not God or the Holy Spirit, in contradiction with the New Testament.   (For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16.)

Furthermore, Bill goes through the usual theories that Jesus was a revolutionary who threatened the system:  both religious and political.  Also, that Judas betrayed Jesus because he refused to become the new king.  These are old theories.  Jesus Christ himself stated that he was put on this Earth to be a sacrifice for our sins, telling Pontius Pilate that his power was given to him by God to fulfill this end.

Likewise, Bill O’Reilly was blessed with great success, having the number one news program on a non-network channel.  This would all be taken away from him, ironically on Easter weekend, while he was on vacation visiting the Pope.

O’Reilly and the Pope, Easter weekend, 2017

Now, he’s one of us, vlogging away on BillOReilly.com

You can say B.O. brought himself down by sexually harassing women.  And yet, none of this was ever proven in court.  Most of these women settled out of court.  The last, O’Reilly did not pay at all.

There are unseen powers that shape our destiny.  While we think we determine our own fate, the fact is, we do not.  God will not be mocked.

In my opinion, Bill O’Reilly would still be on Fox, if he had not written that book.  For that, he is suffering the consequences.

Killing Jesus vs. The Passion of the Christ

Recently, the author of “Killing Jesus”, Bill O’Reilly produced his own version for a TV-movie.  How does it compare with Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ”?

According to O’Reilly, “Killing Jesus” is a “historical account of the life of Jesus.”  That’s strange.  I thought the four Gospels in the New Testament were.  Q.  Where does O’Reilly have the audacity to proclaim his version superior to the Bible?  “The Passion of the Christ” stays true to the Gospel.  “Killing Jesus” does not.  He (O’Reilly) even goes so far as to say that Jesus wasn’t called the “Christ” until after his death.  Untrue.  When Jesus asked his disciples, “Whom do you say that I am?”

Matthew Chapter 16, verse 16:  “And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”

O’Reilly’s Jesus doesn’t perform miracles, isn’t divine, and wasn’t fathered by God.  According to Mr. O, Jesus was just a regular guy.  There have been attempts at “humanizing” the Son of God before.  There’s nothing new here, except that it’s been added to a long line of books obsessed with death:  “Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, Killing Patton”.  (Jesus Christ was resurrected, the other men weren’t.  HE invalidates death.)

20 Fun Facts About Your Favorite Movies | ViralTide ...   “The Passion of the Christ” stars Jim Caviezel who does a remarkable job.  This is tough movie to watch and it was tougher to shoot.  Sometimes, you have to go through hell to get to heaven.  Favorite scene – “Passion’s” conclusion; Jesus leaving his tomb, a most powerful scene that had me cheering.

Director Mel Gibson did not fictionalize the conflict between Jewish leaders who turn Jesus over to the Romans for crucifixion.  The far left hated this movie because they didn’t know what it was about. If they had ever read the Bible, they’d know it’s accurate.  I’m not surprised Hollywood sought to destroy Mel Gibson.  The entertainment industry is run by Satan worshippers and the Illuminati.

Baphomet aka Satan (the devil)

Bill O’Reilly claims to be a Catholic.  If so, he’s a fallen away one.

The star of his film is Muslim.  What does that tell you?

Most outrageously, O’Reilly acts as if he’s the author, the sole author of the life of Jesus Christ.  Ego like this can’t be described.  I’m sure Mr. O received a lot of money for it.  So did Judas.
