The man who nearly murdered former President Donald Trump apparently had an alternate plan for the rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13th. A homemade bomb was found in Crooks vehicle and a detonating device was seen near his body. Crooks, (or those who were assisting him), knew there would be lax security at the event. If this would-be assassin had been able to smuggle explosives into the rally, hundreds of people would have been killed.

There have been many calls from Republican leaders for Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to resign. The Biden Administration, so far, have said they have no plans on dismissing her. The three women who have been criticized for not knowing what to do during the assassination attempt were not members of the Secret Service. They are agents from Homeland Security.

How did Matthew Crooks know the roof he used as a vantage point would be unguarded?

5:10 p.m. Crooks spotted by police acting suspiciously.

6:11 p.m. 8 shots are fired by Crooks. The first strikes the side of Trump’s ear. Two more miss Trump who lies down and is covered by Secret Service agents. Five more shots are fired. One kills attendee Corey Comperatore, 50, while shielding his wife and daughter. David Dutch, 47, and James Copenhaver, 74, are critically wounded. Secret Service counter sniper kills Crooks with one head shot.
AFTERMATH
Since the shooting, Pres. Trump’s ratings have soared. If the election were held today, he would win by a landslide.
Biden’s mental deterioration continues. Democratic Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer has asked him to step down as President.
It seems inevitable VP Kamala Harris will replace Biden or Democrats will have to invoke the 25th Amendment.
