“Rust” the beleaguered Western that ended the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was released in select theaters and streaming on May 2, 2025.

On Oct. 21, 2021, Hutchins was shot to death by actor/producer Alec Baldwin during a rehearsal.  Director Joel Souza was wounded.  Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is currently serving eighteen months in prison for involuntary manslaughter.  To this day, no one has adequately answered how a live round was loaded into Baldwin’s gun.

Alec Baldwin was found not guilty.
